I (Mindi) would love to share a brief story with you.
As you know, Toz Knows only exists because of the generous donations we receive. We operate on a $2,500-$3,500 budget for each book (which, by the way, is remarkably inexpensive for the publishing industry!) Toz Knows Christmas, the second book in our series, will be debuting October 1st and unfortunately required the high end of the budget to get published.
For those who have been with us a while, you may remember how God miraculously granted us the full $2,500 to publish Toz Knows Creation a couple of months ago. Two ladies from a small Bible study in Savannah felt God tug their hearts, and between them He provided $2,500. Um. WOW!
Naturally, I thought the process would always be that easy from now on. Though Toz Knows Christmas would cost more to publish, I knew it would be no problem for God! So we began praying.
Nothing happened.
We kept praying. Still nothing happened.
We prayed some more and kept going with the writing, editing and illustrating of the book. But only a small trickle of funds came in…barely a fraction of what was needed.
We could do nothing but pray and keep moving forward on faith.
One morning as I was studying the Word, the burden to pray for the funds lifted from my shoulders. It shocked me because NOTHING had changed. We didn’t receive a remarkable donation or a promise of one. We still needed $3,350 of $3,500. But God said “Enough” and peace flooded me from the inside out.
That night, the floods came…in a good way.
At 9pm that evening I got a phone call from a friend in our small group. She informed me that she had been telling her parents of Toz Knows and the ministry, and God really touched her dad’s heart for it. NOT EVEN HAVING MET ME he told her that he’d like to donate $3,000. Again, um WOW.
Meanwhile, God had been prompting another couple to give, which resulted in a check for $500.
Yes, He did it AGAIN. Within TWO WEEKS we have received over $3,600 for the publishing of Toz Knows Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What excites me about this story isn’t THAT God provided, but HOW He provided. He waited until the 11th hour and until I had exhausted every resource I had. Why? I firmly believe it’s because He wants me and everyone else knowing that HE is the One who’s running this ministry; HE is the One who is to receive ALL the glory, honor and praise!
Thanks for walking with us step by step! Join us in praying that He reaches little hearts in even bigger ways than these through these books! Keep an eye out for Toz Knows Christmas…which will be debuting soon!

We just returned from an AMAZING trip to California where we debuted Toz Knows Creation for the first time!

We ended up being hosted at THREE events and had the chance to introduce HUNDREDS of people to Toz Knows!

Event #1

Crosspointe Church in Yorba Linda, CA

Pastor Brian Moore interviewed me (Mindi Jo Furby) during all three church services! Toz Knows Creation books were available to purchase for the FIRST time on the patio after each service! We had an overwhelming response and they made us feel right at home!

Event #2

Brave Heart Girls Weekly Meeting

This evening was one to remember! We were able to introduce over 70 girls to Toz Knows! Ages ranged from 5-12 and ALL of them loved it! It was a night full of laughter, stories, dancing and smiles…can’t get better than that!

Event #3

Brave Hearts Girls Diva Night

This evening was a BLAST! We were invited back to the Brave Heart Diva Night! Over 70 girls came for a night of dressing up, a pajama fashion show, dancing, snacks, and Toz Knows! The whole group is pictured on the left and the winner of our Toz Knows raffle is on the left! They are all SO adorable, and so many were able to get a copy of Toz Knows Creation!

Royal Family Kids

If you’ve never heard of Royal Family Kids Ministry, you’re missing out! This is an AMAZING ministry that enables foster children to go to summer camps, where they can take a break from life for a bit. THEN they partner each foster child with a mentor to keep for years and years! We were able to donate a bunch of books to this ministry, and the picture is the team of mentors who received them. WOW! Definitely a memorable donation!!!!

Together we can help children fall in love with God and become more like Jesus through stories in His Word!

The “real” Tozer wanted to introduce himself! See, the Tozer in Toz Knows books is based off of the real life Tozer, who is an adorable little puppy!

Here’s his picture!

Tozer Bartholomew Furby is a sweet little guy who’s almost two years old. He LOVES playing with other puppies and kids, and really enjoys eating yummy puppy treats! His favorite afternoon activity is going on walks. He goes on walks every day and loves saying hi to everyone he meets!

He is training to be an International Therapy Dog so he can visit children in hospitals to brighten their day. He doesn’t always love the training (he gets far too distracted by other dogs and kids – wanting to say hi instead of do his tricks!) BUT he will be an excellent therapy dog when training is over!

He’s also VERY excited about his new books coming out!!!! He cannot WAIT to meet all the kids who’ll visit him at book signings!

We’ll keep you posted with our schedule so you can come out and visit him when he’s in town! He can’t wait to meet you!

Tozer’s namesake, A.W. Tozer (1901-1963) was a brilliant author and pastor who knew God and loved Him fiercely. He never completed high school or attended college, but that didn’t stop him from leaving even the most studied men and women silent at his teaching.

Though his accomplishments are many, he’s known for his passion for God and His Word. He’s famous for quoting,

“What comes to mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

A.W. realized that God is not someone created by the human mind, even though many minds have tried to contain Him. He rather stands as One completely holy, just, righteous—distinct from His creation, yet intimately involved with it. A.W. invested his life helping people realize ”that God is, what He is like, and what we as moral beings must do about Him.”  

It’s that pursuit we wish to emulate for children through little Tozer and his friends!

Children are precious gifts from God and they begin learning far earlier than we give them credit for. Toz Knows exists to ignite their hunger for Truth and their love for Jesus as early as possible, and equip them to share His stories with friends of their own!

It’s with great enthusiasm that we invite children to join Toz and his friends on incredible journeys through the Bible, learning about God every step of the way! We pray that, like A.W. Tozer, little Toz will inspire young hearts for God and will instruct minds to live like Christ did—with compassion, grace, strength, integrity, humility, and an unquenchable thirst for God’s truth.
